Flemish Single-Manual Harpsichord Kit
Our Flemish Single Harpsichord kit has been one the most popular instrument kits in the world for over 20 years. Its many advantages include ease of construction, versatility, stability of tuning and glorious sound. The transposing keyboard permits performance with either baroque or modern instruments.
We can deliver parts allowing construction of the traditional Flemish disposition of 1x8', 1x4' or the more useful arrangement with two unison registers (2 x 8’). This disposition duplicates that of later builders who enlarged existing instruments to make them correspond to the demands of the 18th century.
All parts and joints are accurately made. A few pieces may require simple trimming to size. A variety of decorative options are available.
